Teaching students

Our team has been able to teach five classes within our school. Two from 3rd grade and one for 4th,5th and 6th. Our team has already taught all the classes and it was an overall great experience. We basically taught the class what our team is doing to prevent this issue. We of course also had an activity planned out for them. The first plan our team had in mind was that we would do the acorn test with them. The acorn test is when you place light acorns in a bucket or bowl, you put them inside the water and you know when they’re good acorns when they sink, and in the other hand if the acorns float that means that they’re bad. After we did the acorn test, the second activity we planned for them was planting. Each student had a choice to plant either, Oak or creeping yew. After the students had picked their choice we handed out a pot with half hydrocorn and half soil. Then soon as the pots were passed out we helped the kids place in their oak or creeping yew in the pot. Soon after we taught the students how to properly water the plants, without killing them.
